Therapist referrals
At Juniper Crossing, we believe in the importance of protecting the sacredness of the client/therapist relationship, in supporting other clinicians, and in providing excellent and trusted resources to our community. In order to honor these priorities, we have developed a contract relationship with a handful of therapists in the field whose values, view of humanity, and belief in the change process align with ours. Read on to learn more about these providers and the services they offer to those seeking out care with Juniper Crossing.

Hello! My name is Cydney and I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Board Approved Supervisor, and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I believe in building a therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel safe to explore, grow, and change. As our trust is built, we will be able to work together to achieve your goals and identify desired outcomes for your life.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, my Master of Science in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy and Doctor of Philosophy in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy all from Texas Tech University. Go Red Raiders! As a therapist, I have many years of experience and am passionate about working with adolescents and families with various presenting issues, where I help restore hope and foster healthy relationships. I thoroughly enjoy supporting young adults, specifically women, as they navigate the challenges of life whether it be transitions, self-esteem, or relational issues.
My approach to therapy includes emotion-focused and client-focused modalities. I also have experience in providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I view my clients from an attachment-based lens and utilize different skills and techniques to help clients meet their goals. I hope to help clients feel empowered and safe while I offer support and skills. It is truly an honor to walk alongside those who are seeking help and I am so excited to connect with you!
Along with therapy, I provide supervision to associate licensed clinicians in Texas. My areas of expertise include attachment therapy, working in juvenile justice or residential treatment, and adolescent/young adult development. I would be more than happy to help you grow as an aspiring therapist!

sara sanchez, m.ed, lmfta//she/they
Do you find yourself at a crossroads and in need of some support? While change can be scary, it can also offer new opportunities for growth and insight. Transitions can light up the unhealed parts of us, and make it difficult to discern our truth from the stories we’ve been told about who others think we are. My role in this is to help you discern what you want to take with you along the way and explore with you what’s standing in the way of you living your most authentic life.
My approach to therapy involves humor, honesty, mutual respect, and loving accountability. I am straightforward in the therapy room and passionate about holding compassionate space for you to feel free to explore whatever you may need. I am an advocate for sharing our stories and believe exploring and understanding our narratives can help us better understand why we feel the way we do.
I am proud to identify as queer and find joy in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am trained in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have specialized training in EMDR, trauma-informed yoga, and nature-based therapy.
Whether your worries are something new, or an issue you’ve held close for awhile, I’d be honored to walk with you as you create a new path.
Sara is currently under the supervision of Kayli Cross, MS, LMFT-S. She sees Texas-based clients via telehealth and offers nature-based services to those with access to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
